Ainslee’s Magazine, miscellaneous issues

Ainslee’s Magazine, New York: Ainslee Magazine Company. Individual issues from 1905 and 1906.

According to the Magazine Data File, Ainslee’s Magazine began as The Yellow Kid (the comic), but switched to Ainslee’s in 1898 (as a general magazine) then to all fiction in 1902. Its authors include Bret Harte, Anthony Hope, Stephen Crane, Jack London, O. Henry, Albert Payson Terhune, E. Phillips Oppenheim, among others.

We bought a “volume” of Ainslee’s, which turned out to be twelve slightly-connected issues; parts of volumes 15, 16, 17 and 18 from 1905 and 1906.
