Amours of Zeokinizul

title page

The Amours of Zeokinizul, King of the Kofirans. Translated from the Arabic of the famous Traveller Krinelbol, by Claude de Crébillon. London: Printed for G. Smith, 1749. Translator unstated.

A satire of Louis XV and France. To make it easy on us, the author (or perhaps the translator) provided a handy key to the anagrams used to “disguise” the satirees.
