The Opened Shutters; A Novel, by Clara Louise Burnham; with frontispiece by Harrison Fisher. Boston, New York, Houghton Mifflin and Company, 1906.
344 p., 1 l. col. front. 20 cm.
Clara Louise Burnham (1854-1927) wrote romantic fiction, but I haven’t been able to find out much about her beyond that.
The Opened Shutters was made into a movie in 1914 and in 1921. Looking at the 1914 edition at IMDB, I noticed a familiar name, Herbert Rawlinson, the star of The Black Box, the movie of the E. Phillips Oppenheim novel that we contributed to PG.
